  • My dream car...

Man oh man I would love to have one of these. I loved these cars since I was a kid. I would love a GNX but heck even a GN would do. I wonder if I could shoehorn one of those engines in my car j/k

The car is sure nice. The engine was very impressive for its day. SFI and Boost in the 80's was like the day the Pentium chip came out LOL. It was fast... For its time

By today's standards that engine sucks. The valves are small the heads don't flow well and it is an all iron boat anchor.

Yes! I have an 87 GNX poster here and its the only 90V6 I think I would want. SY/TY perhaps.

Yea the Sy/Ty was badass. but I think the AWD system made them amazing. Its crazy watching an AWD vehicle launch with no smoke and no squeal all you see is the whole vehicle lift up and go.

But again that engine could use improvement too. Several Sy/Ty guys are swapping in Vortec heads modified intakes and better turbo/intercooler systems and getting hundreds of horsepower extra from the motor.

Huh, I'm a bit confused. Those beasts can move down the 1/4 mile in the low 13's stock. IMHO that's still impressive considering the size and you couldn't touch it with even a brand new Mustang GT.

Yea that is true. But throw some modern heads on it and see what happens.
