    3.4 alero out ...... 3.9 impala in

    the crossmember on the alero rusted out and the steering rack mounts ripped off. the car is done I am not replacing the crossmember it will take to much time and money. so I put a deposit on an 06 impala with a 3.9. I really like the new car the mods are going to come slow due to the fact I am back in to a car payment ( $241/mo 60 mo ). Any suggestions on where to start ? got the imp for a little over 13k out the door at 3.9% for 60 mo. it also comes with a 10 year 100k warenity on the drive train and free state inspections for life. the alero will be parted out in about a week or so pm me with needs and offers.

    beleve it or not this is one car that I have always wanted (full size gm car)

    I thought you swapped a 3900 into the alero!!!! Darn! haha.

    Dang, rusted out that bad eh? Mine was a little rusty there on one bolt on the rack but I sprayed some rust-o-lem on there and it's been good for years now. Sent you a PM on parts.

      You must disclose your opinion on the power that engine delivers in that size car!

        If it's is anything like an Uplander van it should rip the tires free on command. Congrats!!

          It runs well haven't had a chance to get on it really good yet. on paper I think its 240 hp 240 ft/lbs

            ye it dose turn off the traction control and mash the pedel and it spins the 17" tires with out a problem
