          nope. Never.

The thing is, no matter what you do to your car, it will ALWAYS be an SE. My 1988 Cutlass Supreme has been TOTALLY rebuilt. 3100 SFI, newer interior, body kit, FE3. The thing is, if you run the VIN NUMBER, it will still come up as an SE.

Even though it is more equipped like an International, or a newer SL, I did NOT put SL badges on it. The truth of the matter is, my 1988 Cutlass Supreme is an S. It is a BASE MODEL Cutlass Supreme that I have done a shit load of work too.

I feel that if you HAVE to change the badges, then do something CUSTOM, or more ORIGINAL. I wanted some different badges on my 1988 Cutlass Supreme so I put SC badges on it. They NEVER made a Cutlass Supreme SC.

I've considered the idea of adding a + to the existing badge for a modified vehicle. As in "SE+" in your case. Badgeless is always a good way to go though.

Having a 96 you might be able to get away with GTP badging without too much harassment. If you had a 97+ GPSE, the L67 guys would either shun you or hound you into submission.
