Anyone try or think about Z34 vents in the GTP Hood.. I was thinking about it.. if the holes in the GTP hood are smaller or bigger than the Z34 vents.. If smaller that would be awesome cuz then i would be able to put them vents in..

I think the GTP hood vents are longer and skinnier then the Z34 ones. The ones in my Z are around 8 inches wide, and about 14 inches long. From what I remember, the GTP ones look like they are around 5-6 inches wide, and about 18 inches long. The shape of the hole is different as well. Would probably be a lot easier and just swap hoods.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

If he just swaped hoods the front edge wouldnt line up with the GP bumper.
GTP vents arent that long, i think you are refering to TGP vents.
Either way, if the GTP vents are larger than the Z34 vents in any way just get a base GP hood and start from there. Cut the holes for the Z34 vents and pop them in.Mr_Efficiency

I think I am thinking of a TGP. I didn't realize there was a difference between the TGP and GTP hoods. Ya learn something every day-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

Earlier GTP's also got the longer vents. If memory serves me correct, the GTP didn't start getting the SHORTER vents until 1994-1996. I know I have seen a 1991 GTP, and a 1992 GTP that had the same vents that the TGP had.Taylor

Yea back in the day when my buddy was looking for drip trays it took him over a year to locate a good set for his 94+ style hood. The longer vents just look awful. I would either go 94+ or Z34. The Z34's probably wouldn't look right on a GP since the GP has a more rounded look. The Z34 IMO has a more aggressive sharp edge look.Lifting my front wheels, one jack at a time.
