  • 3.3l lg7 engine?

Does anybody know anything about this? I think my brother had one in his 1990 olds ciera gt but he wrecked it before I cared. All I have found thus far is that it is supposed to produce about 160hp. Was it based off the 2.8/3.1 block?

The 3300 is a very nice engine and makes a great daily driver. My '90 Ciera has the 3300 with a 4T60 and 2.73 FDR, and man is that thing a cruiser on the highway. It was based off of the Series I 3800 and most agree that it's better than the 3800 in some repsects. My Ciera has a little over 205,000 miles on the clock and she still runs great. My friend had one that when he sold it, it had 248,000 miles on it and I still see it driving around.

before my cutlass i had an 89 skylark with the 3300 in it.
when i traded it for the cutlass it had about 245,000 on the clock. drove the hellout of it for two years and about 40,000 miles and it ran flawlessly. as far as the engine goes. had to do ball joints, but that is not the engine.
my friend has the 3300 in his 92 grand am SE with 145 on the clock. runs strong.
pulled on my 3.1 cutlass til he hit his speed limiter before i did.

The 3300 was a 150hp engine...made 185 ft lb of torque if I remember right. If he had a Ciera GT, though, that was a 3800 in there. I've seen some of those...almost bought one. Nice car it was.
