i was at the gas station the other day, and this guy rolled up in a 02 gs400.i was getting coffee.. so he comes in to pay for gas,"can i get 5 dollars on number 4?...how much are those hats?11 dollars? ok let me get one of those".... wtf is that?

Thats a typical US citizen... Spend money one anything and everything that doesn't help your day to day process but skimp bitch and complain about something that you really need.

Took 7.5 gallons to fill my new car's tank w/ diesel. $35. I remember when I used to fill my Trooper for $35. $4.619 for diesel at the truck stop, $4.99 for B20 bio-diesel locally.

I paid $3.46 this morning for 87 octane. It was listed as $3.51, but I bought it at a Sam's Club gas station, so I got 5 cents off with my Sam's membership. Kind of nice paying around $3.50 again, although it'd be even better to pay less than $3. Daughter starts school up again tomorrow, so that means the wife and I will be driving more, so we'll still be paying about the same as this summer.
