door side panel (effects?) removal on a Grand Prix

I've got a 93 GTP with the door side skirts or whatever you call them... I'm just looking to remove them to fix some door rust... I'm talking about the plastic panels that go in the middle of the door. Any ideas? Is it just body tape'd on?

i thought i had pics online of my drivers door.
93 GP LE sedan
looks like there are clips that hold the trim on.
i have a shot on my computer but it is dificult to tell as it is dirty.

They are screwed on the bottom and then the top slips into a channel that holds it in place.
