I like this site. It's taught me a lot about the GM 60 degree motor. In fact, I'm really good now at selling used GM cars because i've had the motors apart, heard about the weak and strong points, and drivin the ever loving shit out of them in general. It's largely due to being educated here.

So...having said that, i'll again say how good it is to be a part of this community. Problem is... you never get to see the people your talking to... well, i've made my own little version of horsepower tv for you to see. it might give you some insight as to who i am... or, you may not give a fuck. I've been spraying paint on a used car in the shop tonight without adequate ventilation, and i think im buzzing...dang... anyways, heres the link.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

That was funny as heck! My family is big on GM V6's too, with 4 60*'s and 1 90* car. I'll have to admit my brother's tiny old N body (90 Skylark) with its 150 HP 3.3L was pretty peppy and fun to drive back when it was running.

This site is awesome. I been kind of in the dumps with one thing after another thwarting me from spending any money on my '89 Cutlass Supreme. Although it seems every week that goes by I learn more stuff that changes how I want to build it up. All search engines are too linear with the way they gather information so searches alone don't really yield much of the vast wealth on this site. I usually prefer to go to a section and read through all the threads chronologically, however you can only go back one month here. I remember someone gave a reason as to why it is like this, yet that doesn't change how difficult it is to find info sometimes.

So I decided to eat it and stick around. I started lurking the forums and saw how a lot of new guys tend to blab about things they don't know about and got eaten alive lol. So I kept doing searches and learning from the true 60V6 guru's here and eventually signed up. I do visit other forums for my car but this is the only one I check out everyday.

It seems there are quite a few people who not only work on their own cars, but work with cars in some way for their job. I think that's awesome, even if it does take hours for the car lift to go up . That video was awesome and I like the Make It Happen attitude! Keep them coming!

User CP > Edit Options > Thread Display Options > something to do with how old of threads you want to see

Set it to SHOW ALL THREADS and you will get everything back to 2004 or so. The board default is 30 days, but you can change it. This also affects searches, so if you have it set to 30 days, then you will only be searching through the last 30 days of posts.

Ah, I didn't realize that affects searches too. I've had that problem looking for something I KNEW had been posted before.
          '98 Volvo V90 - Ford 5.0 swap in progress
'96 LR Range Rover 4.6 HSE - suspiciously reliable
'92 Volvo 740 Wagon - former parts car, now daily-driver beater
'71 Opel Kadett Wagon - 1.9L CIH w/ Weber DGV 32/36, in bits

When I do searches it goes all the way back but the forum only showed the 30 days back. I never really played around with the user CP. That's pretty funny. Is there any reason why the 30 day is default?

Doesn't really matter now, I know what to do! Thanks!

That vid made me laugh, lol. Reminded me of the old "Red Green" show on public broadcast years back, lol. In one episode, they used the garage door opener they stole from their neighbor to open the "gull wing" door on their station wagon. They got the door to do that after opening it, and backing up, busting the door off against a parked van and using their "handyman's secret weapon" (duct tape) to fasten it back to the car.

The Red Green Show is a Classic TV phenomenon uniting Handy men and women from around the world. The show is available 24/7 on major streaming networks and continues to be an active community online. Join the Possum Lodge for access to new podcast episodes each month. That was fuckin hilarious, between this video and that humorous little post you had at the end of the "debate" in the engine efficiency page I've come to realize you are one funny ass dude.

                      I favorited that vid.
