I hate the after market for the DOHC, and the fact that it never took off after it was produced. I hate intake gaskets on most 60v6's. I hate that I hardly have any money to put into my 60v6 Oh, I hate Bush, and would like to drop a 60v6 on his head.

Yup my car came with the adapter stock. No messy oil changes for me! I guess they don't make em like they used to! Saves pennies I guess?

that was one of the things i loved with the beretta, when i got the grand am that was one of the things that got done right quick.

          guess that was a 90's 3100 thing. i havent seen a 3400 with one or a largeport 3100 either.

that probably explains why the 5th gen grand am got 3 different size gas tanks throughout the 6yrs. 99 was the biggest tank then they got progressivly smaller throughout the years.

another thing is the 99 only aluminum control arms. a little off topic but it kinda fits.

X2, I have one of those as well, came off a 88 tempest/corsica with a 2.8 in it. I'm using that bottom end for my build, I just hope it clears the front corss member on the W body... it should, theres tons of space in that bay, lol

as for what i hate about these engines... nothing really that i can compalin about. I wish they came factory with forged pistons so I can crank up the boost, haha but i cant complain cause there only cast.

Also the turbo 3.1 should have been made longer and available in more cars, but again thats not really something to complain about... would have been nice tho. stock turbo 90 cavy z24 would kick a$$ or how about 3100 turbo.

and obd1.5 was just retarded, but thats not specific to this engine.

I hate how GM is afraid to put the 60V6 in small cars anymore. A G5/Cobalt or Solstice with the 3500 would make a great combination.

Word. I go to a yard probly twice a month. Ive seen less than 10 gm v6 5-speeds thus far.(over about a year)

Makes a 5-speed swap a pain in the ass.

Yeah I'm going to go at this engine alittle differently than I ever did. Going to try to have it hold together this time...I'm talking alittle less cam, stiff pushrods, and a balance

Yup I can vouch for that. I was avoiding the auto Troopers, never even looked at one while shopping.

There was an auto for sale around here last year, thought about picking it up for cheap. It was pretty beat though, work truck.

My wife yells at me when I need to work on my euro..She seems to think anything that is old is not worth fixing...I mean sure it is worth its weight in poop but it beats paying a monthly bill of 150 or more.

One other thing I hate about the 60v6 is the different length of the pushrods for intake and exhaust. Would be just || that much easier while assembling the engine.
