I had a guy come and look at my GTP last week and he decided to buy it. He paid me 2/3 today and is going to pay me the last 1/3 by the end of the month. I put a lien on the title and did the promissory note and all that, so he has the car, but if he doesn't pay the rest according to our agreement, I will "repo" the car. He definitely seems legit, so I doubt I will have to go through that b.s.
I just got tired of fixing one thing and then two more things going wrong and I ran out of money to work on it since I've been getting back into my fish a lot more as well as other financial reasons (a.k.a. these cars are addicting to mod and with all the new stuff coming out like tubular control arms and all that, you know...). Besides that, 3 of my other cars were also projects. I am down to one project (the camaro) and the Jeep that still needs a few things, but nothing major and it has no driveability issues. The cobalt is running out of its bumper-to-bumper, so it's going to get lowering springs soon, but the engine warranty is still good for a little while, so I will wait to do engine mods till after that is over. I'm actually hoping the come out w/ a 4-dr turbo ss that I might trade it in on to have more power and better gas mileage. I'd get an HHR SS, but they are too heavy so they're not much, if any, faster than the ss/sc and don't really get any better gas mileage.
Anyway, I hope to be back in the game some day. If I want something I don't have to do much to, I want to get a MINT TSTE. If I want another project, I want to do a TGP/cutty vert hybrid w/ maybe an MTX swap.
