  • throttle body boring

anybody know anyone who bores and makes new plates for stock throttle bodies? trying to get a price on a twin 58mm for a small block TPI setup as opposed to dropping $310 at summit on a BBK one

if you go to wreckers and find OLD 3800 series 1 engines. they use a 58mm plate.

i have 8 of them sitting here right now...

4.3L cmpfi engines from the mid early 90's S/T trucks use a 60mm plate (one in my car)

    56mm's are used by 2.3L's and 3400's..

you can find all sorts of different plates at wreckers

find someone who does snowmachine or small engine boring. they can over bore t/bs for cheap. this is how i do mine. in some cases you have to fill cavities with some JB weld and redrill the air bleed holes afterwards to go larger. OR offset bore them.

cool. i've seen stock bored to 58mm with no mods so i dont think i need to mess with filling passages if it gets cut too big.
