disconnecting DRLs for when ignition is turned in reverse

How would I go about disconnecting the day time running lights so they don't come on when the ignition is turned backwards
ie: I don't want the lights on when I just have the key turned back to listen to the radio

Its weird that they do come on. Mine don't. (No car I've ever owned has done this)
Anychance you're turning the key from run to acc so fast the DRL relay doesn't unlatch electricaly? Like you would if you didn't want the radio to reset. Try turning the switch to off, then acc. If this aint it, try engaging the parking brake with the key off, and then turn it to acc.
