My 94 Cutlass is making stange door lock noises. It seems to do it more when the weather is damp. At times it get so bad that the lock/unlock button won't work. I have to unlock manually! EEEWWWW! Sounds to me like the electric lock is chattering or cycling very fast. Also the remote key only works part of the time. The car is a 94 Cutlass Supreme SL Coupe, 3.4 DOHC, 4 Spd. Auto. All electric. Anyone who has experienced this problem, Please help. I am at my wits end and I Totally refuse to take it to a shop. Nobody works on my car but me. (Plus it's way too expensive.)

your easiest fix would be to replace the whole power window/lock switch assembly with a good used one (ebay, junkyard) very cheap. Anything from '90-94 coupe will work for you. If that doesn't fix it then it's either the lock solenoid behind the door panel, or worst (unlikely) it could be a wiring issue.Brian
