All wheel drive Z-24

Any one have any info on the 89 Pontiac 6000 STE all wheel drive? :wtf1: I have the transmission and transfer case and was wondering if anyone has attempted this before or even thought about it. i know theres really no point to it, but it would be cool to put a 3.1 turbo in also and wind up with an all wheel drive, turbo Z-24 that kills everything it meets (especially Eclipses and those Homo Hondas. Like Jesse James said " It's big, dumb and pointless. I love it." I have car and I have the tranaxle setup but i don't have the rear end. ideas?

but that one was a 5-speed.... The 6000 has a 3T40-A transmission

there are SIGNIFICANT changes to the AWD 6000 as compared to the regular aswell...

Yes!! I have been looking for an AWD vechile .. I was thinking VIBE til I found out it was a YOYOTA.

Did these babies come only in Automatic though Was looking for a stick AWD tho ..

Yeah, the only AWD STEs I've seen or heard about were automatic. A few years back me and a friend were playing around with factory manuals donated to our shop class at school and came across something interesting. Back in 1989 only it was possible to option a 2 door Pontiac 6000 STE with a 2.8, 5 speed and all wheel drive. Was it possible to get a 3.1 turbo in a 6000? That would be the most fucked up import killer of all time!! Ok no more alcohol for me!!

Yeah, I wanted to use an AWD setup with a manual and was gonna use the 3.1 turbocharged engine out of a donor TGP from a boneyard .. or something along that lines w/ more mods of course ..

Sorry, all I meant was that it was possible to order it with a five speed, but I've never seen one.. The literature I looked through was all from a local GM dealer so I was wondering if maybe GM planned on offering a 5speed AWD but no one ordered it? Or possibly it was canceled at the last minute? I've never seen a 6000 AWD with a five speed manual, but does that mean they don't exist?
