If it makes you feel any better....

I am currently going to school for a degree in Construction Science and Management. I am a non-traditional student due to I joined the Navy and served for 6 years directly out of high school. I am now in my 5th year of college, and will be graduating in December. Since I started college, I have gone to school full time (14hr min, 18hr max per semester) while also working full time (40+ hrs per week). This whole time I always had my car as a side project (imagine that). The past 3 semesters have also included overseeing my house being built as well as finishing the basement in my spare time. And, the last 2 semesters, I met wife (of almost a week now ) and spent time with her and her 18mo. old daughter. In all this, I still have managed to maintain a 3.12 GPA.

In my case, I think being older and having military experience helps me manage my time better. But I often find myself stressed and trying to find those few extra hours to get something done. All I can say is try to manage your time. That's pretty much what it comes down to. Its definately not fun and I can't wait to be finished, but in the mean time, I'm just doing the best I can to accomplish what I need and want to.

I'm a future graduate from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology's School of Business - Management program. I'm done at NAIT this semester, but I have two more years at the UofLethbridge sattelite campus here in Edmonton for my Bachelor. What helps me through huge projects is to compartamentalize my time. I set one activity at a certain time each day that I can look forward to i.e. On Mondays its RAW at 10 (ya ya, I know, wrestling ), other days it my nightly jog, etc etc etc.
Maybe this could work for you too. It breaks up your workload and makes it seem more manageable. Good luck - don't give up!

Speaking of school... I discovered tonight that I can't just waltz into this school and get my B.S. in Telecommunications Engineering Technology in 2.5 years like I'd planned (I already have most of the core stuff outta the way). The courses related to my major are so crosslinked by prerequisites and most only offered once per year so that it's going to take me 3.5 years... which tho it's pissing me off that I'll graduate in 2007 instead of 2006, it will almost force me to take EXTRA courses... I'm thinking of throwing a CS minor in the mix.

Yeah, that once a semester thing sucks... It took me like 4 years between all the classes and even longer to get the paperwork sorted through to get these 3! (just got them a couple days ago)

My union has been trying to find me a job, but they have so many people out of work right now from layoffs, its really hard.
