  • Worth it? $600 87 Fiero

    The car-

    The details-
    1987
    4cyl
    3spd auto
    108,xxx miles

Driven every day up until the guy bought a new car. Runs and works fine but he recommends changing all the fluids, something i would be doing either way. He also just replaced a lot of the brake lines.

    The cool factor-
    Same year I was born!!

    The bad-
    Needs a new headlight module.
Headliner is currently out as it was sagging, still has it just not repaired yet.
Front hood release needs adjusted but still works.
    Rear decklid spring broke.

And of course the other little things that everyone will nit pick about such as the interior. Other than those things it appears to be a pretty solid Fiero IMO, but the question remains... what do you guys think? Useful comments?

I would be all over it myself. Only thing is, when I get a Fiero, it will be a fast-back, have the V6, and a manual tranny.

thats what i want but my neon beater is on its last leg and the malibu isnt gonna be up any time soon, im thinking about building a mild N/A 3400 hybrid for the fiero since i can easily get a bunch of stock parts around here and i could prolly build a killer engine making atleast 200hp daily driveable at the wheels with power all over for under $3k

in the end i would love an lsx powered fiero but we shall see where this takes me, right now its the right price for the right car and should be a decent daily driver for me and on top of that it will decrease my insurance to around $60-80 for liability

            uhhh.... sure fred....

anyone know any details on an auto to manual swap? ideally the 6spd from a g6..... or should i just contact archie and start begging? lol, also... by the pictures above, can anyone tell me if its had the (heat shield) retrofit kit put on yet? either way im swapping to the pf51 filter but whats the deal with the changed dip stick? shouldn't be needed AFAIK.... never had any problems running larger filters on other cars....

I've always loved that style fiero, dont see those style bumpers aroudn to much there my favorite stock fireo ones, only downside i see is its auto and i'm not a big auto fan but still, good find.
