  • w body with wet carpet/abs issues

working on my boss's kids car, its a 95 cutlass supreme sedan. when ever it rains, the drivers side floor is soaked. weatherstrip looks good, apears to be comming from the left corner under the dash above the parking brake. before i start ripping the car right apart, anyone ever experiance this problem or have an idea what it may be???

ive also got the abs light on and its storing 10 or so codes. dont have them handy, but any thoughts on that??? im thinking a bad ground or power sorce, havent had time ot get into that yet

My a/c water catch pan was clogged once and it sent water all over the inside of the car....maybe it's that?

Could be similar to the Berettas, where there is a bad seam weld. There is a TSB out about it even.

found no bulitins on it, but after enough searching i found one seam had cracking sealant on it, so i fixed that. i guess ill find out next time it rains if its fixed or not.

as for the abs problem, no codes now but the light is on. i figure ive got some electrical problems to work through on that. also should note that the abs works fine

On my 95' Cutlass Supreme my ABS light is on and ABS doesn't work anymore. It was a occasional issue for about a year then it stopped altogether. On both the driver/pass side the wires appeared to have been cut and taped together.

              The problem

Yeah seal the out side firewall seam. I used "blackjack" roof caulk, its neoprene and sticks well to dirty surfaces and lasts in all temps. I had to seal the piss out of my car. I had a ton of water under the carpet.
