The housings for the GP coupe are the same GM part number as the ones for a Camaro, so they are a direct fit. My Cutlass Supreme uses those, too. I'm not sure what to think of these. I can't see how different housings are gonna do much. I'd have a hard time using any of the bulbs they have. It would appear as though they are all some sort of coated bulb, and that isn't good.

Typically HID needs optics made for HID lightsources for it to be perfectly distributed onto the road. Otherwise you get a lot of stray light illuminating the tops of trees and the eyes of oncoming drivers. That said, housings designed for 9006 or H7 halogen bulbs react best while dual-filiment bulbs like H4 and 9007 tend to be really bad. My brother got a McCollach kit for his 97 GP (9007) and it's like he has his high beams on all the time.

A harness is a must as HID ballasts will draw up to 15A each on start up. A typical 55w halogen bulb only draws 4-5A. You can find a lot of info on HID at this forum: http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/

HID kit makers have been ruthlessly undercutting each other for the past year or so and the lack of a harness is part of that.
