Has anyone tried the Hella H4 headlight conversion? I bought one but haven't installed yet(weather). I bought some of these, not Hellas, some time back wiith the blue light and a clear lens, I couldn't see at night especially when raining, sent them back. So Crutchhfield had a pair of Hellas with diffused lenses and I decided to try them. Hella is a big name in lighting, I have big hopes for these. These are rectangualr 6X7's, S10 Blazer.

if i were you i would go with the bosch or cibie h4's as opposed to the hella's just because the beam pattern is better, but any way you put it they are a remarkable difference over the sealed beams.

I used the cheap (i think that apc brand) H4 conversion from autozone with silverstars in my wagoneer and they work badass. I can actually see in front me now granted my headlights are about 4 feet off the ground

Mine are cheapos off ebay, I think I paid $20 for them shipped but I swapped out the bulbs that they came with for silverstars before I ever put them in. I hate blue coated headlight bulbs

Did you guys have clear lenses or diffused lenses? I think the clear lenses were my problem with the cheaper ones, kind of like two flashlights pointed straight ahead with no side lighting.

Mine has clear lens but the reflectors are diffused I guess thats what you mean. The glass is smooth but the shiny part in the back is bumpy.

              kinda like these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/82-83...em320200719160

I got the cheapest ones off e-bay I could find @ $25 shipped. They work kick ass. Make sure they have glass lenses!

They work great. I would recommend. Expensive though, $90.
