It's been done, don't expect anything drastic as far as performance.. mid 13's or so. Lots of custom work.. there are MUCH better options out there.

N/A 3800 is the L32. I have heard of using a N/A 3800 and doing work, but at about 300 HP, the block cracks. With the blown engine, once it gets over the 350 mark, you have to be careful, and it also cracks.
The 60 degree engine seems to hold up better.Taylor

The fastest one I know of is a twin turbo 3800II with 800+hp and runs 8's in the 1/4 mile.

Yeah, there are turbo L67 blocks in GP's at the 9.0x mark in the quarter mile. I'd estimate near 1000HP at the crank for those. Over 900, at least. Stock bottom ends on L36/L67/L32/L26 engines are incredibly strong. Nobody has broken a block due to power. The N/A 3800 (L36/L26) are hard to get power from, staying N/A, but take to boost better than just about anything I've seen, particularly from a turbo. The M90 isn't an efficient power adder, even when it is intercooled. It's the nature of the beast. There are a few L67 J-body cars running around, and they're plenty quick. There is a lot of custom work to be done. This is true no matter what you do, though, unless you go way back to the early J-body that had a 3.1 in it already.\"NASCAR is an integral part of my life. No, it's still rediculously hard to put the 3800S/C in a second gen, wether or not it had a V6 stock. it doesnt matter, because you have to do all custom mounts to get it in there anyway.....

sort of throws the weight distribution off too (from how good it was in the first place lol).
some guys really like the idea of the swap because its factory supercharged but with a little thinking you could do the same thing with a 60* engine. or just mild turbocharge the beast stock and put out the same power.got zap-straps?

I am (for some reason) am obligated to let you know that the fastest FWD 2nd gen is currently a 3800 turbo, he's running around an 11.1 1/4 mile. Keep in mind though, the car is completely stripped with a full cage, welded diff and LOTS of other custom work. The fastest 60v6 2nd gen is Midnightriderz24 @ a 12.2 on a stock bottom end, full street trim.
