I just got the fenders and bumper ordered today. The header panel with lights, I am still trying to find a good one. I got a new camera, but the protective cover over the screen cracked today. It's got a 4GB card in it. So, yeah...there will be pictures a plenty.

Well, the fenders and front bumper are here now. I may stay late at work tomorrow to get going on it better.

          update

Well, all my parts, except the hood, and fender skirts are here. Everything except the header panel is off. Car sure does look naked. We do the oil changes for the local P.D., and they had two cars in there, and the car was outside, and got inquired on, and some interesting looks. This may go quicker than anticipated, but will probably cost a little more than anticipated. I've got about $500 in this so far, and have another $100 or so. I'll end up about $300 over budget on this, so the intercooler radiator will have to wait, most likely.

i'll have other questions later. i've been in bed for an hour now, and can't sleep, so I figured an update was in order. I just did this work today, so I'm not really late getting it done.

The new header panel is secure. Tomorrow morning, I am going to take the door handles off, the belt moldings, and taillights off.

This job has turned in to an incredible nightmare. This is ANYTHING but a bolt up procedure. Heavy modifications to the front fenders are necessary to even open the doors. As a highlight, I will end up using my sedan lower fender mouldings, and the wheel well should hopefully break up the difference in the pattern between the front bumper and the doors. That's the hope anyways.

Now, we're gonna spray a different colour, too. Here's the link to the CarDomain page with the work thus far: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/924507/9

I never realized just how off those fenders would be. I always thought that they were the same, and the only difference would be where the cornering lights mount up.

I am glad you are doing this, despite the nightmare. This will help other people in the future if they decide to go this route.

Just so you know (and your car should be PREWIRED for this), but there is a RELAY that goes behind the HEADLIGHT SWITCH on the interior. Your car does not have it, but you should have the connector back there. If you get the relay, that will make it so that when the high beams are on, the low beams stay on as well. You should be able to just get that relay and plug it in, and have the quad high beams.

We didn't either, but they've got a body line in them that the pictures kind of show. Of course, my car just doesn't have it. Thankfully, it took us all of two minutes to figure out how to fix that problem, and another three to figure out the mouldings.

What relay is, it, where would I get it, and how do I know what I'm looking for?

You can get it from any coupe that has the mini-quad headlights (Cutlass Supreme coupe, or Grand Prix coupe). I would just get one from a junkyard. I want to get one to wire into my Cutlass Supreme (my 198 so that it will have the quad beams, but still have my glass headlights (no miniquads).

I will take a pic of the connector. I have a spare one in the old dash wiring harness. I have to pull the steering column out of my 1995 Cutlass Supreme, so while I am back there, I will see if it has it, and get a pic of it for you.

Got another update done. With the new color showing a little bit on the edges of the fenders. And, how we made the fenders work AND use the sedan mouldings.

P.S. Did you find that connector that I'm looking for?

I tore apart the harness in my 1996, so I don't know which relay it is.

I checked in my 1995, and it does not have it in that same area, but I know my OTHER 1995 DID have it.

I will take a look again. Now that I have the steering column out of the car, I might be able to find it.

I cant find the relay in my 1995, but I got a pic of what it looks like. This is the THEFT RELAY CONNECTOR, but it looks the same as it. You might even be able to use a theft relay.

I know my 3100 Cutlass Supreme had it behind the headlight switch.
