Here's what I did to my 85 firebird...

1.) Install painless wiring kit # 60109 into the tranny (if automatic).

2.) Ditch crappy CCC and intake and install Edelbrock performer RPM Intake and Edlebrock 750 cfm carb.

3.) Pull dash apart and remove check engine light bulb.

    4.) Unplug computer

    5.) Ditch crappy 305 and install 400

      On the contrary..

Let see ummm push-rods, valves, seals, rockers, or roller rockers, cams.......Even the way the intake manifold is mounted is simalar.

Geesh next time I will phrase it V6 with 2 extra cylinders.

It does say anything push-rod related in general. Let me check....this is a push-rod.

Your arugment against push-rod V8's makes no sence.

Since this can also be related to Push-rod V6's no matter which way you think, I am sorry about being a jerk, but saying that push-rod V8's have no relation the V6's is asinine.

Dried seals of a V6 60 degree can leak the same way a V8 would.

It's got more in common with a 90° V6, so go post it on one of those forums engine sections!

So you are all saying that valve assemblies in general are different PFFFFFF

In specifics yes dah, but my question is a general question that all engine have.

Ok what about my 4.3L V6 in my Jimmy is the valves in that one so absurd different it has seals right.

So by the way you make it sound leaky or dry seals vary a huge amount across the various engines, some how I really doubt it.

My main Q on this thread is so darn general that I could go post it on a ricer forum and get opinions.

        I have worked on 454's 400's 366's 350's 305's 272's> 2.0's 2.1's 2.5's 2.8's 3.1's 3.4's 3100 3400 3800
Oh but the valve seals are so different in general whatever. But my experience does mean a fuck to you.

        Later
        I am back
