That's pretty sweet. I need to make one of those!

And I want a parts washer with about the same design as you got there.

          Thanks

Thanks, it was pretty easy actually, for a parts washer, think youre better to use a metal 45 gal drum rather than plastic. maybe make it like a B-B-Q style lid pump on side and drain in the centre bottom. Maybe I should have done that too instead of buying mine. I have a 20 gal parts washer that cost 120. Cdn. not that bad. In comparison the sandblaster cost little more than 60. cdn including the #6 glass bead media.

Harbor Freight tools sells a nice metal blasting cabinet for $100 including the tip, hose and gloves.

              Yesh, but

Is Harbor ... in the US? If so, just the S/H up to Canada would put it well over 100. Mine was built for less than 60 including gun, hose, media, plastic drum, scrap plexi and wood. New gloves will be less than 25.00 so for less than the Harbor Freight cabinet plus media, and on top of that, I have always been told "if you can make it just as good or better for less, you've improved your skills and will take better care of it". Grandpa taught me that gem!

One Mod I would suggest for your cabinet. Mount an inlet filter on one side and have a connection for a shop vac or other type of extraction system that extracts into a filter bag or outside. This really helps keep the dust down and helps you see while blasting. Also before you open the lid to get your parts let it sit for a couple seconds before opening and you will not get a face full of dust. Also invest is some tear off window covers so that you don't have to replace glass.

                  Thanks

Thanks, I do have a "hook up" for the shop vac, can't see it in the picture though. What do you guys suggest to cover the plexi? would food wrap work? I have other plexi that I was going to use if this one gets bad.

Most hardware stores carry a product that is made to cover carpet diring construction. It is clear and usually two feet wide, much like giant scotch tape. When it get too bad to see through, just peel it and stick a new piece on.

                      perfect

Thanks, no noticable dust with the #6 glass, but I am sure with the aluminum oxide and or other media there will be lots of dust. Anyone make some wheel dollies or a rotisserie?!? Need those too and don't want to spend part money on those. Up here rotisseries are about $1200.+ lots of parts for that price.

My shop has one half complete. But we ended up just buying a ready made one. Where do you live?

                          Price right

Over in Courtenay, if price is right, I'd come over and pick it up or have it shipped over if it breaks down small enough

Well I can ask what they want for it and take some pics. I am not sure what is needed to complete it. But you would need the means to fabricate and weld the remainder.
