  • Polishing ported throttle body...

What should I do after I sand it. I wet sanded but it is still not as shiny as I want...but its smooth as a babies bottom...pics here...I want to knife edge also...what grit sand paper would I use for that?

    ...I'm finishing what RSM started.

With just sandpaper alone it'll never get a mirror shine. After wetsanding with 1000 grit, use a polishing paste and some elbow grease 2 or 3 times and it'll be like chrome.

            IAC valve....

and as long as its smooth it'll flow, you dont need it to be shiney just to flow air well, wet sanding with 1000 will get it plenty smooth

Is the idle messed up, or is it just making a whining noise?

sorry, should've been more clear, my guess would be that you changed the port to the IACV and by sharpening the edges or making it shallower you in turn created the whistling sound
