Verboten, do you run premium? Cause that really hurts. Smokes up here are $10.00CDN a pack.

yeah i have to run premium in the GT, last year it was typically about .90 something cents Per Litre...
50 litre tank... yeah usually 40 bucks a week in gas for the car (i cant keep my foot out of it)

3.75? litres to a US gallon? (i cant remember) so if we were paying for a gallon it would be 3.375 per gallon for .90 cents per litre of premium.

Gas isn't too bad here yet but I am definately gonna have to cut down on just cruisin around if it goes above $2. Smokes on the other hand are over $5 which is partially why I quit a few months back.

Nope, I use 'midgrade' Petro Can fuel - not too bad, I actually get better milage with the slightly higher octane rating. I tried a tank of premium in the summer and it did nothing special. Thankfully, I don't smoke though, so that's an extra $10 a week back into the W

Canadians pay more for gas than Americans do. So if you live in America stop complaining. We have been paying OVER $2.00 a gallon for LONG ass time.

well out here in California I've been paying about $2.30 a gallon and cigarettes are over 5 bucks from what I hear. It's been over 2 bucks for a while now but thats for 91. when I started smoking cigarettes were like 2 dollars and I quit when they hit the 4.50 range

I love my 93 octane..... the 1992 required it to run it properly.... and the 1962 has to have premium, plus Super 104+ octane boost, plus lead substitute. OR..... get some 110 Low Lead from some friends (gas kills me on that one.... so its only a once everyother month kinda car lol)

California? OUCH! lets see, pull into the gas station on payday:

                          12gallons gas x $2.30= $27.60
                          carton of cigs 10x $5.00 pack= $50.00= $77.60!!

Figure in beer and lottery tickets and you just dropped a $100 bill in one place for basics!

unless I shop at the wrong station (Chevron) but most likely a Cali thing.

If you guys dont like the prices of gas, think about this :

If we were to start a campaign to boycott just one oil company, they would lose business, thus have to reduce their price of gas. Thats where competition comes in. When the company that has lost 40% of business realizes they have to reduce the price of gas, their coutnerparts will also reduce their price in order to compete.

If everybody takes a part in this then we can effectively reduce the price of gas. But it is highly unlikely that the average lazy american will do this
