Probably isn't the right forum for it, but I thought I would ask... I want to turn off the autolock feature when you put it into reverse.. On another car, you did this crazy sequence like "open driver's door, step on brakes 3 times, lock doors, unlock doors, brake, close door", and it turned the 15mph lock off... Any idea?

I dont know if it is the same as the Z34, but if it is, this is what I did...
Under the passenger kick panel (or actually, above it) there is a small white box in the clusterfuck of modules under there. Going into the box, among other wires, is a light blue wire. hook a test light up to the wire and check for positive voltage when you put the car into reverse, with the doors closed and the interior lights off. If you see voltage there, remove the pin from the connector about 6" from the white box, or just cut the blue wire.

On Z34's, remove the chime module. Not only will you remove that annoying chime, but it takes care of the auto locks. This applied to my 1993 Lumina Z34, anyway. If I remember right it was on the drivers side, under the dash.1993 Chevy Lumina Z34; 4T60-E, CATCO 2.5" hi-flo cat, Flowmaster Exh, American Racing Aero Rims, KYB GR-2's
