i just bought a 1993 lumina z34...the only problem is that the ignition switch is busted other than that it runs perfectly. me bein a chevy guy i figured i could fix it but i have the steering wheel off and half the column apart and im now dead in the water...any pointers on how to replace the ignition switch?

as in the key cylinder?
Remove everything off of the column. Remove the turn signal switch and just let it hang down.
Tilt the column into the all the wy up position.
You see that round thingie with the square hole in the middle? Located on the bottom right corner?
Use a BIG phillips screwdriver in that square hole, push down, twist, and let it come out (there is a spring pushing it, so be careful.
Once the spring is out, there is a yellow/white plastic thing in there you need to pull out. I used a small hook I made to carefully pull it out. That is the warning buzzer thing.
Once that is out, I think it is just a TORX screw to remove in there, and the cylinder will come right out.
Installation is the reverse of removal.Taylor
