i have a 95 ga se and i was wondering if i put gt gauges in it would it work

GA Gauge Cluster Question

It's definitely not a simple swap. You have to make sure the optional cluster (you could get it on SE's, mine fortunately did) came from a GA with the same engine, as the 4-cyl and 6-cyl ones were different. The oil pressure sender is different as there's a longer one with a 2nd output for the gauge. I'm not sure if the car's come prewired for the tach but the signal for it comes out of pin C (white wire) on the 5-pin connector on the ignition control module.
You might want to search for this swap on gaownersclub.com as I believe a few people there have done it.1995 Grand Am SE

For my car, I just got a cluster of the same ECM type and engine. Swapped the oil pressure sensor and I was good. I'd stick with a 95 or older gauge cluster for your car for a v6 and same interior trim (so it fits) and it should work with the longer oil sensor.sigpic New 2010 project (click image)
