Yes you did. Here are some pics of the entire 3500 top end, broken down and compared to the 3400...

I think that will look really cool. Blue valve covers and a polished plenum. Are you going to finish what boner started or are you going to paint it?

Dunno. H have had suggestions that the plenum should match the covers, but I will be loosely bolting the top end on to get measurements for the brackets etc, and I will see how it looks. If I don't like it polished, then It will get similar treatment as the covers (the "207 turbo" is growing on me, though).

3400-95-Modified had that metalcast on his old throttle body in a yellow/gold color and it really did look like anodized aluminum. Your's isn't showing up that well in the pics though.
It's the pics/angle. The covers are a little darker than the real annodized turbo equipment I have, but look good.

Here is a pic of my current UIM in the sunlight...

UIM was painted the same stuff.

Then the plenum should look better since it's polished with the paint maybe...

But I still like 2 tone setups. Where the intake and then valve covers are different. The plenum being blue as well is too much especially since it's such a large flat piece. I see your old setup the covers were black so it wasn't "everything is blue". I think clean it up fully polished and put "207 Turbo" on it in black letters.

Or (hate to paint it when it's already polished) paint the plenum black. That way the color scheme is inverse of what you had before. That would look nice too. The 3500 plenum looks great in black.

I was going to do mine a bright aluminum silver color, but my friend talked me into doing both valvecovers and UMI black. I am glad I did.

The blue looks good too, just depends what kind of theme you are going for, and the color of your car. Everything else on my car is black, so the engine being black and only light thing is the headers makes the headers stand out in a good way, and the engine blend in and not scream "I DON'T BELONG IN THIS CAR!"

This new engine doesn't belong in this car . I have yet to find somebody who has done a 3500 on a Gen1 block, perhaps I am doing something new? Sure would be good if I could find a "how to" on this subject.

As far as color, my car is high gloss black, so, I wanted some color (my sig pic shows the reflection of palm trees). The blue also matches my Cobalt guages, and am planning on changing the dash lights to blue instead of amber. Gets boring with the black on grey.

I like it alot! I don't quite understand how you did it though. You said you redid it by taping a GM logo and spraying it with white. Do you mean you tapped out the logo with some sort of tool and a hammer? If so, did you tap an indentation into the metal or just tap out the blue paint? It looks real good!
