And STE (can't believe that I forgot that one seeing that I OWN a 1990 STE.
The STE is the SPECIAL TOURING EDITION, and that is the only one that I have seen the spell that out with. SPECIAL TOURING EDITION is stamped into the doors, the front badge, etc.Taylor

the STE (Special Touring Edition) was the SEDAN and not all of them were Turbo. The Turbo was the TSTE. The STE was only offered in WHITE, and MAROON. (although I have seen a blue one, but I think it was painted that way. It was also a 1992). The STE first came out in 1990. That is the same year mine is.
The TGP was the COUPE. The TGP was only offered in BRIGHT RED, and BLACK. The TGP was offered only in 1989 and 1990. In 1991, they dropped the TGP and replaced it with a GTP, and they dropped the 3.1 Turbo, and replaced it with the 3.4 DOHC.Taylor

Yes it was, however it was a dealer option so you could go to GM and walk away with a GP that said "GTX" on the side.
If GTX was actually on the insurance card or anything, I don't know. I would still consider it a make though.
There was also the GPX showcar if you want to consider that.SpudFiles

a 3100 in 1992? I would have to see that. According to GM, the first year to get a 3100 was 1993 and that was exclusively in the Cutlass Supreme.Taylor
