flow numbers are for 3400 pushrod motor, not 3.4 DOHC
HEADS UP, GUYS:
I've been informed through the grapevine, indirectly from the guy that did those flow numbers, that they are for the GM 3400 pushrod motor, not the DOHC- both engines share the same 60 degree block to my knowledge, but different top ends- for some reason he insisted on telling Lou, to try to "get me in trouble", for posting "incorrect information" on our own site. All he had to do was tell me and I would gladly pass that info on and correct it, like I'm doing now. This kid seemed intent on trying to ambush me by "proving me wrong" or something. WTF ?? (laughter...) I think someone has to put down the hash pipe and video game remote...
Yet he drives a Honda, and it's like a 16 second car- these guys argued with me, and got all bent out of shape, telling me I should not disconnect my EGR valve from my engine- telling me to save the environment and s-hit like that. So you make the call...
at this point, I'm thinking, perhaps the flow numbers were taken with a vacuum cleaner, who knows...I believe he used one of those "quick flow" attachments for a vacuum cleaner, the intake ports on those heads are only 111 cc, so I'm starting to SERIOUSLY doubt the flow numbers now- my radar went off. The flow numbers are not from the best source, so tread cautiously at this point.
lesson learned...
anyway, this leads me to suspect, the DOHC V-6 heads may flow even more !
