you're wrong there, more posts means more activity, we get advertisers on our sites that pay money to keep the site going, based on members and posts made- not enough posts, no money donated
As you can see this site is strictly run off of donations! As you can see there are no advertisers or advertisements on the tops of each page. So this site is not kept going by advertisements it is kept going from members donating money! So you are wrong!!!

A 3400 is a pushrod engine. 3.4 DOHC is not!!!!!!

      pretty lame, BVE, pretty lame...

mechanics in the field call the DOHC a 3400 too, you're nitpicking there

      you're talking 3.4 pushrod, and 3.4 DOHC

you can call them both 3400's, because they are both 3400 cc's

      right , Mr. Smart-ass ?

they know WTF it is, when they open the hood

the site also runs by people posting on it- what's the difference, if one guy posts 10 times, or 10 guys each post one time

the more the better, otherwise you end up with a tumbleweed board that goes stale and dies

More post equal's more space in the MySQL database. Not more money! More money for space yes!

And let your self believe the 3400 is the same thing as the 3.4L!

When you buy parts for a 60* V6 they ask you what engine you have for a reason. So if you told them you needed head gaskets for a 3400 when really you wanted head gaskets for a 3.4DOHC then you sir would have to go back to the parts store and get the CORRECT gaskets.

maybe when you buy parts here, but ask any mechanic who's been doing it for a living for decades

                3400 cc's is 3400 cc's

                  3400cc's is in fact 3400cc's.

BUT, a DOHC has ALWAYS been referred to as a 3.4L by GM. A 3.4L in the Camaro is referred to as a 3.4L. But, in 1993, when GM released the 3100 and then in 1996, when they released the 3400, that is how they referred to them. When you goto a dealership, parts store, or a mechanic, they will almost always refer to the 3100 and 3400 as a 3.1L and a 3.4L, NOT a 3100 or 3400.

And as stated, this site is run fully by donations. And its not by a ton of people. And honestly, we would still run it even if we didn't have donations.
