Your friends LeSabre also has something like 25 ft.lbs more tq. so I would imagine it should also pull harder. Are there any symptoms at all? Maybe a clogged cat? Does it take a while to come out of first gear? Sometimes when you have a clogged cat, because you are hitting the accelerator hard to still go slow, the transmission will shift later than it normally would. Otherwise if there are no computer codes maybe something fuel related.

This site deals with 60 degree engines, You may find an answer here, but you will have better luck at another site. Here is one that isn't too bad. They deal more with the 3800, but not too knowlegable in the 660s.

If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.

I had a '95 Park Ave w/ the 200hp 3800. Nothing could keep up with me in that. Well, except the Ion Redline I raced before I knew what it was lol.
'93 Sunbird. 5spd, 3.1, it's fast. Oh, and 240k miles has proven lethal against Turbo Talons

I'm lurking occasionaly. It's tough because I'm usually too busy with the Army or my 5.0 Mustang. Which is for sale.

Did you see my thread about the 3400 impala no power?
Clogged cat could very well be it.

85_305 I'll take your park ave in my 94 3100! hehe I've raced 3800 5spd firebirds and it's been close but I always walk them. Should do even better now.

The pushrod 3800 5spd's are FAST. If you have in fact walked them, nice kill! But now way would I race my old Buick against a 3800. I raced a mid 90's Delta 88 w/ the 3800 yesterday from a stop and we were dead even, with me starting to pull pretty nice by 40mph. I love my 3.1
