I meant to do the original posting here. it
      Suitable topic..."Off Topic"
I mistakenly put in in the region-wise one.
(this is only the 2nd post, not like the 5th or something)
      Sorry bout that dude.
If you can...move the orig topic from the northeast region to the off topic area and delete this one?

      Thanks

There's a single day road rally out in the Sandhills region of Nebraska during the summer. As long as your car passes an inspection, you can drive it.

I don't remember the fees, but it wasn't cheap.

The state patrol wouldn't let it happen if it was a true rally, so they compromised and made it a time trial.

Imagine getting to drive (or ride along) at 170 mph on the highway for a day, with the State Patrol's blessing!

The newspaper came out to snap pictures of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Vipers, Vettes, etc. It amused me because a couple pictures had cattle in the background.

They also have ("had" might be the better word) an in-town time trial in Hastings, NE. I'm not sure if they're going to do it again, as there were a couple deaths a couple years back. People crowded the side of the street while competitors (with more car than they could handle) blasted through the center of town at speeds nearing 75mph. Imagine going 75, then having to slow down to make a hard right and then a hard left.
I wish I still had my sixty degree.
