no never seen it before, now i have and is increcrible the amount of power you can get out of this engines.
i almost bought a soltice when they came out ,but started looking at the mallard (i think thats what is called)soltice ,and took to much time looking and end up with a truck and thats what made me decide on rebuilding my cutlass,i needed a toy.
i just love to watch the wheels turn around and around
yea the ecotec is a pretty good motor for modding. gm has a sport compact power book and it tells you what you need to do for what power levels. what i find funny is that the ecotec dominates the nhra sport compact classes, so they have to run a smaller turbo and 200 lbs more weight than any other car.
im in the middle of swapping an eco 2.2 into an older car. our basic idea was to get the motor in and running, but my buddy bought a dyno proven 220whp motor. at first we were gonna just run it n/a till we got it all sorted out, but after finding out we gotta build a custom header to clear the firewall, we just decided thats gonna be a turbo header. we are aiming for 400hp.
