Holding off working on the site, so... I decided to mess around in AutoCAD some tonight. Its still a work in progress, but I think its pretty good for maybe 3 hours of work. It is currently based on the 3.5L VVT block (because that's the diagram I have access to), but the basic layout of the block hasn't changed over the years, so it'll work. I plan on trying to get the front and back ends to look alittle better. Might work on the sides some... Then I want to draw up a set of heads I can put on it, and then start working on manifolds. I've wanted to do this for quite some time, but what really pushed me to do it now is Marc's plan for the custom lower manifold to mount the M90 to. If I have an accurate CAD file of the engine and heads, then the manifold can be modeled and tweaked electronically, as was as duplicated for multiple design configurations. Anyway, check it out and tell me what you think.

Brad, that looks awesome.
Have you ever used solid works, if so how does it compare to autocad?
I have always wanted to learn CAD, however I have never gotten around to do it. After I graduate in May, I might see what the local tech school offers.
Looking forward to seeing the heads and the manifolds, maybe something can be made up for a new logo?2000 Grand Am GT

if you are looking for a program that is really fun, go with UNIGRAPHICS or Catia, but they are pricey and hard to find free copies of. these, programs are kinda hard to take full advantage of if you are teaching yourself, but any community college that offers pre engineering will probably offer a course on one of these two programs. 3D modeling/dimensioning is fun and a very useful skill... just my .02

Pretty cool Brad. I have a copy of Auto Cad 2000. It's free to use for 30 days. After that I delete it and re-install for another 30 days and so on...Can't register it because it is already registered to my old employer.
But it's cool for fooling around at home.If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.
