  • carbon fiber body panels ?

    just wondering if any body has or if they even make carbon fiber panels for a 88-90 Z24 i need to lighten up my ride and carbon fiber or even fiberglass(probly cheaper) is a good way to do it? i would be looking for trunk lid and doors for sure any inpute guys would be apreciated

    I dont think anyone has done it yet, but I looking into starting playing with f/g c/f. The best recommendation I can offer is go to the library and get a book on how to do fiberglass repair. If you can find a good one, it will tell ya how to make molds and all like that and how to go from there. Also, to keep your car on the road, find the parts you want to do in carbon in the bone yard and use them for the molds.
    Tuning a car is full of compromises. You must decide if you are willing to give up either reliability, performance, or a whole load of cash. Also remember that repairs will seem to come up much more often as you strive for even more performance

      fiberglass is a lot cheaper. i know there have been full fiberglass bodys made (for tube chassis cars), and i have seen doors and front ends in fiberglass. search yahoo or google, im sure you will come up with something
