I agree the 3500 and 3900 engines are more advanced designs and surpass the 3800 SeriesII in performance. That would be great to retrofit either of those into one of the older 60° platforms, although with the Fbody that might take some doing!
Camaro95V6, I'm not sure why I'm quoted in context with Badazz97T/A's post, obviously he has an LT1 so it's not a 3.8 owner "talking down" to a 3.4 owner although that's what you seem to implicate? Some people who start out with a V6 unfortunately don't feel the V6 is worth their time and trade up to a V8, but that's their opinion and they're free to state it as long as they aren't disrespectful to other members. We're not like "big brother" and edit/delete posts just because we don't like their opinion.2000 GrandAm GT 3400

Camaro95V6, you make a very good point and we could probably do a better job of notifying new members of the rules, maybe in a sticky or faq and a better explanation when modifying a post. If anyone has a question or concern all we ask is that it be voiced in a polite manner, which you certainly did, but unfortunately some had to come along after you and crap up the thread, which is why I suppose it ended up being deleted. I'll see what I can do about getting something put back up however to address that issue.
Sappy I posted here with the intent to try and make things right but to be honest it seems that you could care less. I got the impression you had a problem with some members who questioned your prices (when the links to the 3500 package were still present) and each one of your dozen or so posts after that conveyed the same attitude. I can't speak for the admins but I feel certain your choice of language and open disrespect contributed far more to your being banned than any spamming of advertisements ever could. I'm willing to work with and even go to bat for any member who has a legitimate complaint and represents themselves in a civil manner, feel free to contact me via PM or email.

I didn't have a problem with any of them. I understand that some people want it all for nothing and I understand that some people don't have a clue what they want, only what they have been told that needs to be done. I remember thinking the same things. I wasn't trying to display attitude. I had a long post all about velocity and cfm and design notes on the gen 4 heads. When I was scrolling through to quote someone I saw my link was deleted. I deleted the 4 paragraphs I wrote and posted "then I guess you wouldn't be intereted in my research for the NA heads". That was as polite as I could post at the time. I should have just left then honestly.

How can my initial post offend anyone?! These are all my quotes unless specified so you know what im replying about.
"What would be a good price then for a set of heads complete with new parts and cleaned up (minimal porting), manifolds and porting them, head and intake gaskets, and head bolts?
Im going to redo the 3500 swap kit soon to get rid of the 3400 upper and use the 3500 upper with some modifications for swappers."
"I wasn't going to get rid of the option for the 3400 upper. I just need to get a complete 3500 top end kit done. Besides, from the sound of it no one here is gonna buy it from me anyway."
"Stock vs stock, the 3400 outflows the 3500 manifold wise. Ported, the 3500 beats any 3400 offering.
I don't understand what full ported heads are. Sounds like marketing crap to me."
"Then you probably aren't interested in any of the research I did to come up with what I believe to be optimal heads for NA applications."
"Where did the 290 cfm come from? I have seen no flow sheets showing that kind of flow."
"Got a link?"
someone else "Off topic but hey ben I see you made it over here!"
"Not for long."
Someone said they would post the link to the 290cfm aftre they get off work. About 9 pm I post this
"must be working overtime today"
"Yeah, well the heads in those pics aren't flowing 290cfm at .500 lift or whatever. I port heads for a living (and other stuff) and have spent some time doing 3500 parts. If you shroud the valves with a cylinder to replicate what happens on a motor, you won't get that kind of flow. If you flow it on a box without the cylinder, maybe...but who cares?
I have posted the stock flow numbers on the 60degreev6.com site."
I don't make amends with assholes and liars. If you came here to try to make amends, you are wasting your time. I have no problems with you and I am glad you like our site here. I didn't go there trying to make enemies. Nothing in those posts would say otherwise. They lied, I replied calling them out on their bullshit and also explained why their policy hurts them instead of helps. If they are hurt over that, then fuck em. Id like to have the transcript from the deleted thread but I doubt they will have anything to do with that.Ben

That other site
Looks like GS Jon had a little trouble. Maybe someone should inform him that if your having charging problems, you shouldn't be using a 300 Watt converter at all, or worse, at night.Your local OBDII moderator
