That's pretty pathetic... We have a pretty good deal going here, but it's not like it costs that much to run one of these sites nowadays. They are acting as if they are barely scraping by. Sounds to me more like the sponsors are putting money into a select few pockets. Hell, we've been around for 6-7 years now and have never had any sponsors? We just must be special....-Brad-

Wow man. I didn't think they would ban you. All I did was link to the top end swap, and I come back and I just see "Non-Sponsor Link Removed" and that was it. I kinda wish that an explanation was given. So I checked the forums rules thread and it didn't specify anything about linking to non-sponsor sites. I figured getting it out in the open to discuss with the admins about it would be a good thing because it would be informative to the members. It would probably save them some time from having to edit posts. Fact of the matter is, people on car forums want to know where they can find products for their cars. They have a 60* section. In yet, none of the sponsors carry 60* products. Instead of just having the 60* business owners having to find their site and ask for them to advertise for them, don't they ever go to the 60* business owners and say "Hey, we have people interested in the products that you sell, how would you like for us to advertise for you?". I wish more people would take into account that although the 3800 is indeed a nice v6 engine, it is not the god of v6 engines. To tell you the truth I think the 3.4 is just as capable as the 3800. The newer FWD parts seem to make up for the poor design of the older RWD parts. And since the parts are from the GM factory, off of stock vehicles, although you couldn't call your car stock with those parts, they are in essence "stock". I read posts about how the 3800 was ooooooooooh so much greater than the 3.4, so I actually went out and test drove 3(three) 3800 Camaros just to see if this awesome "upgrade" would actually be worth getting rid of my 3.4 and moving to the 3800. I couldn't figure out what was so great. As far as I'm concerned, the only advantage the 3800 has over the 3.4 is that it has a higher market for tuning. That's it.
EDIT: Oh, sorry for getting you banned too man.

For once Sappy, I agree with you.
Just blatenly removing "non-sponsor" links seems to be, a little over kill. Yoiur suggestion of contacting the vendors of these "non-sponsor" links seems to be hmmm, common sense, make too much sense? SOmething like that anyway.
Unfortunatly I keep hearing more and more about about these odd rules being drawn up and then over enforced, for what ever reason these admins and moderators have to do so.
I think most of them were bullied as kids and now have a way of doing the bullying.

its sites like that that hold the community back. basicly, if your not sticking money in someones pocket, they go out of their way to make sure nobody from their site buys your products. i do beleive in plugging the people that are sponsoring you, however when there are products not offered by the "sponsors" and you can link to them, how does the comunity grow???
and realy, how much does it cost to run a site like this??? do you realy need sponsors to pay the bills??? and did you even find out how much they were charging to become a sponsor???

No, apparently they do a full background search on you and your business to see if you qualify to give them money for the privilege to be mentioned on their most hallowed of internet sites. How stupid do they think I am. Telling me that they wouldn't do business with me is about the dumbest comment I have heard out of L67 owners. No doubt, they won't be buying anything from me. I had a guy on realfierotech (l67 owner) tell me the same shit. Funny that 60V6 owners don't tell me that. I don't want people to kiss my ass and I sure as hell am not gonna kiss theirs.
You know what the value of advertising on that site was? None if they didn't change their policy, even if I could/would have sponsored their site. At this point I am just hoping that some people from that site will check us out and the store here. I know this site has a lot more to offer than those sites for the engine itself. Too many smart people here that honestly care/understand/share the truth about these motors. I dunno what else you need. Oh I know...an owner that will update the site. Sorry, im too busy pissing off L67 owners. Aaron doesn't get banned that quickly.
