Reading that site (anonymous browsing FTW), i see so many other places with urls posted. I see the EGR delete being talked about ($50 from milzy or $3 from GM plus gasket and bolts....wow). I see lots of things that make me cringe. Im not surprised now that it hasn't been mentioned much if at all on this site.

Nothing changes. Some sites attact the sheeple.

I guess GM is refering too 2 different engines by the same code.

Look at LT1. Everyone has completely forgot about the LT1 from back in the 60's. Now its sterio typed as a reverse flow cooling engine.

that seems to be the case! i linked to my new forum on regalgs.org and they immediately perma-banned me. other people were posting that they visit clubgp.com every day blah blah blah....of course that's no problem not only that, i had some of those regalgs.org fuckers come over to my site posting sick ass porn etc. and asking for an apology for me "spamming" their site hahahaha. fucking retards. thankfully my mods removed the crap they posted within minutes and they were booted. shit, they were probably just jealous that my 60*V6! Turbo Cutlass would whoop the shit out of most Regal GSs on their site haha.

i didn't even start a new thread to "spam" my forum. there was a thread called something like "what forums to you visit on a daily basis" so i listed mine and viola!!! i'm gone!

i like my Regal GS but fuck regalgs.org!!!! i don't know what it is about some L67 owners, but they sure do have a big ass ego problem going on. just like most SRT-4 owners it seems.

Yeah, you can get a mildly ported 3500 top end set. They are much better than stock 3400 heads and are highly recommended by many.

                          60degreev6.com offers a 3500 top end package

Last edited by FunkZ : Today at 12:05 PM. Reason: Removed sale link

The site rule is no non-sponsor link, period. Obviously the mods don't catch every link that gets posted and some are allowed to slide, depending on context. I think we try to be lenient rather than heavy-handed with that rule.

What we have had problems with in the past is unscrupulous "vendors" shamelessly plugging links to their site repeatedly in threads. Because there is a nominal fee (and it's not what was stated earlier) for vendors to put their company logo and website link in the forums, we can't fairly allow vendors who don't pay for advertising to come in and push their wares for free through forum posts. This is why the rule was created.

I'm not saying that anyone here acted in an unscrupulous manner by posting links back to this site, in most cases it's not even intentional or even known that it's not allowed. But the links posted were to a page that detailed a product for sale and included pricing information. Had it been an informational page only (like a 3500 swap FAQ) I probably would have let it slide.

In any case, posts aren't edited out of spite, and as a fellow 60° owner I would hope that both sites can coexist peacefully. While it's true that FullThrottleV6.com may be predominantly 3800-oriented, I can attest that 99% of the members there have nothing against us 60° owners, other than a little sibling rivalry.

This may be my first post here but I am a long-time 60° V6 owner (coming up on 10 years) and I have visited 60degreeV6.com frequently in that time, usually when researching information. There is a lot of good info to be found, although more of it is I think relevant to FWD 60° cars. But I think this whole link issue got blown out of proportion, on both sides, and I would rather see members cooperating and sharing knowledge than getting upset and posting garbage about the other site.

                          Thanks

Hrm okay, I recently asked and was told something different, so possibly the rate has changed. In any case, what I was quoted seemed very reasonable as far as advertising costs go. Much cheaper than putting an ad in the yellow pages, and you get to hit more of your target audience.

                                In 60* section, thread title "just got a 1994 camaro 3.4l t-top", post by Badazz 97 T/A

i just sold my 1994 3.4 camaro two months ago. had over 200,000 miles.

those mods will certanly help BUT the heads are going to prevent you from seeing real big gains from those mods(the 3.4 heads flow like poo poo on a cow pie in a big batch if horse manuear with sprinkles on the top ). plus the 3.4 takes a ton of money to make it go fast(15's in the 1/4, not very fast) ......so i would just enjoy the car for what it is
He stated this like he was an LS1 owner talking to an LT1 owner. Since when do bolt ons make any car go WAY faster than it was stock? It's not gonna happen. There are more advanced modifications that must be done. Just because he happens to have the "bigger" v6, doesn't mean the smaller v6 can't be faster than it. Although the saying "there is no replacement for displacement" for the most part is true, in this case the size difference between these 2 particular engines are not great enough to use that statement as an argument. If the guy with the slightly larger engine has done a half ass job of modifying his engine, and the guy with the slightly smaller engine has done a superb job of modifying his engine, then the tables are turned completely. I think that some 3800 owners are being intimidated by the fact that just swapping 60* FWD top ends(non ported I remind you) onto their RWD counterparts are making more horsepower than they are. As far as I'm concerned, the 3.4 is just as good if not better than the 3800. The advantage that the 3800 has over the 3.4 is the tuning market is bigger. That's pretty much it. Not to mention the fact the compression ratio would still probably be low enough to run high boost from a turbo. Fact is, any car can be made to go fast. People who think that just because they have a 3800, that they are superior to the 3.4 owners can go fuck themselves.
