  • My favorite milzy quotes

"These numbers are equal to roughly 284hp and 244 ft-lbs at the crank, so we increased the power output by ~109 horsepower!! " (using 20% drivetrain los from a chassis dyno and comparing to GM qoted crank hp numbers).

"They are the best heads on the market, bar-none." (no comparisons to anything else)

"Then again, when you have a .600"+ lift cam and a ton of duration, how often are you really below .450" lift anyways? " (how can you tell when you don't have cam specs)

"I don't see the lower intake as being a restriction. So it( the intake port on the head) would probably flow the same amount." (ROFL! seriously, you can't get more incorrect)

"Correct, much much more power over a set of stock 3500 heads" (no comparisons made, just talking again)

"but the numbers he had were going through a 5 speed trans before they got to the wheels, so efficiency was probably more like 90% instead of 80%." (where does he come up with these numbers?)

That's why I just sent my original cam out and had it reground based on what I wanted from the engine, the cam came back with a spec card. As for the heads, the only thing I would shell out serious dollars for, instead of spending about $150 for an appropriate mild porting and polishing kit, is larger valves along with a 3 angle job. I don't recall any naturally aspirated hp numbers on an otherwise stock V6 engine being increased by more than about 13% with just a cam change.

So much easier to add a turbo and blow it to the power level you want.

Larger valves alone on a 3400 or 3500 head is worthless.

Though not stated, I was thinking about the 3900 which apparently has wider spacing between the valves to permit it, with due respect given to shrouding should it be a problem. Let's assume worthless applications are not being considered.

I've heard some shit from him after meeting him on several occasions.

After this last time I'm totally done with him. I try and help him out and bring his name up to this community and what's he do? Fucking shit on my face with out even hearing a "thanks."

Although his headers are ALL RIGHT, it's not worth the anguish to get something from him. At least in the DOHC area. Don't know what he's like with 3400 stuff, but I wouldn't expect much from him because he can't keep his OWN L67 car pieced up to proove anything.

I just want my damn part and that will be it.
