THE RED LOBSTER!!!!
This Lobster of a car is my new...car. Now before I hear it about the damn transmission I just want to say that like the Whale, the same critiria applies. I wanted a car with the sport package, ABS and halfway decent paint. Engine and transmission is neither hear nor there. Overall its not too bad of a vehicle for $200..... Needs a cam carrier with cams, the front intake cam seized up, the rear brake lines are leaking, rear struts are all but gone, the subframe is missing a bushing, the interior smells like moth balls, seems that squirells moved in at one point as this car hasn't moved in the last 4 years, it does have the full radio and a Hud!. WHOOPIE......I have the super daunting task of making this Lobster sea worthy and complete like the whale was. Body and Mechnically, the Whale was infintely better, granted I didn't get it like that but it turned out pretty good. I just hope I can get this car to turn out as well The only this that really annoys me about this car is the driver door. Looks like it was over extended and the door check mount is messed up and the hinges also look over extened too. Fog lights are busted too. I plan to roll with the TDC for alittle while so I can pass emmisions, and then I'll go back to the 3400. I can only hope it holds together, I'm not long on the condiitons of the engine and the compartment. I'm not going to run with the Auto but I'm going to keep it stored just in case this gearbox has a problem. Anyways tearing down the Whale I now know why I spun out, My right rear tire is worn pretty bad. Its almost a slick....If I drove over any water that probably woud've done it. Anyways I picked the car up in Massachusettes and I Uhauled it 200 miiles back to LongIsland. Total trip expenses including the car was $700. I might run with the whale's white wheels. Anyways I want to thank those that supported me after my accident. Thank you.
