  • '90 Turbo GP(couple of pics and two short vids)

Took these a few days ago...most are pretty dark since my brother and I decided to take pictures of our cars in the evening(damn this winter and getting dark at barely past 5pm crap ).

Click images for the full size(1024x768 for most of them)

One of the better pictures just after I finished cleaning my car and it was still light outside.

The next few were taken around the State Botanical Garden of Georgia

    Garden Club headquarters

    Visitor's center in the 'Garden

This would have been a decent picture if it hadn't blurred...

I swapped out my K&N conical filter for my polished intake arm & ractive filter since I needed to clean the K&N.

    ^The 2nd video I'm posting is where I left those....who needs a lsd? I need a more grippy set of 245/50's..

    Videos:

They're not the greatest, but give you an idea of how the TGP sounds at full throttle. As you'll be able to tell from the vids, the exhaust is extremely quiet at WOT like I've mentioned in past posts(2.5'' mandrel bent catback w/ a carsound cat + a universal 12'' resonator. It's really audible at idle and at part throttle..just quiet at WOT. I can post a clip where you can actually hear the exhaust if anyone wants me to. In the first video, I just stab the gas and take off, you can see how the chip ramps up boost in this one(takes off, spools shortly afterwards and then spins a bit). You actually can't hear much spinning since these tires never really make any loud squealing except when they initially start to spin.) On the 2nd video, I brake torqued really quick to build a little boost before launching = those black marks pictured above. Those marks go on for quite a ways after the pretty dark portion, you can vaguely see them that far out though. By the way, the turbo is marginally louder with the K&N filter straight on the compressor inlet vs. the metal tubing/filter setup I had on during the time of the vids.

Threw them on "yousendit" for the moment...

The mustang....by a long shot. It has a stock-blocked 347ci "stroker" in it w/ 11:1 compression, Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads, Victor 5.0 intake, custom grind cam, etc. The mustang has ran 117mph in the 1/4 mile so far(pretty much a full weight car, still has air conditioning. It does have the weight savings of the aluminum cyl. heads and a fiberglass hood though. The hood is necessary to clear the aftermarket intake since he runs a phenolic spacer underneath it). It's running off the bone stock computer and actually runs great with just the timing and fuel pressure adjusted accordingly. It should be trapping a tad over 120mph with what it has done, tuning + more suspension mods should put it where it needs to be.

Here's a little clip of how the mustang sounds at idle(it was about 20*F that day, so it took a little while for the idle to level off)
