not much for pics, just picked it up and drove it home a few secs ago.

it is a dk green 94 gtp with lq1/5spd formerly brian89gp's car. very nice and i love the hud already.

that deal was too sweet to refuse i never imagined i would ever get a manual car. brian did a good job on the swap, the linkage is silky smooth.

now the tedious task of sorting out all the stuff that came with the car lays ahead of me. there will be keep, trash and sell. naturally, i will give all the 60v6 dumpster divers a shot at the trash i find.

Unless you boost it, you will probably want to put new heads on it. Brian took out quite a bit of metal in the combustion chamber which is probably the cause of the lope he was telling me about and it wanting to be a POS at idle. Just a heads up if you didnt know.

it loped a few times when i 1st started it but otherwise the idle seems fine for now.

haven't really investigated it yet though. thanx for the heads up.

i got the tranny and everything out of the trunk and then i got to get into it today a little later. couldn't go far mind you b/c i do not have plates yet.

anyway, i tested the performance and was not impressed. when you hit WOT, the motor revs and just falls on it's face. feels like it is hitting a rev limiter or something. maybe the ecm is confused. i noticed when i put it into reverse the lights do not come on. is it possible the ecm thinks the car is in park or something???????

also when i start it, i do not need to push the clutch in.

did brian use an auto chip with this setup or something???

My reverse lights dont come on and I dont have to push in the clutch to start it. He didnt wire that up I guess and I am guessing we both have our reverse lights hooked up wrong to the trans. Not sure why it feels like its hitting a rev limiter, nor do I know which chip he is using now.

been a while but here is my 94 gtp and what i have been up to with it. just fixed my steering, next is a CAI, then the 3 inch exhaust and tuning tuning tuning somewhere in the middle.

thanx, coming from 2 of my favorite looking gp's out there, that means alot. yeah now that i have my foundation almost laid out minus the tuning, i will be focusing more on the details and personalization instead of performace.
