  • 89 Z24 Vert.....a work in progress

Howdy to all. For the record, I am Tom and I am a noob here. I fell in love with the 2nd Gen Cavaliers when I purchased a 91 RS coupe, it has some pep for a little 2.2. Anyways, last saturday I came across an incredible find. A near mint 89 Z24 Vert, two tone red and grey 2.8, 5 speed manual. And I have decided to turn it into a show car with a tad more power for fun, and on the occasional days I like to go to the track and race for fun (who cares if I loose, not me, but that will soon change)

SO with out further ado, I give you my baby. I am calling her Clair.

Here are the mods I plan on doing to it.

    STEREO
    JVC KD-LH810 Head Unit
    Pioneer DEQ7600 Equalizer

Adjustable Shocks & Struts with custom install (there are no current adjustable shocks for an 89 Z)
    Smoked headlight covers
    Clear Tail lights
Removal and painting of current badges
    3 series BMW headlights
    17" Finn silver painted rims
215/45/17 Perilli PZero Nero M+T Tires
    Fog lamps
Change paint to 2 tone Black/Grey
    Limo Tinted Windows
Fixing a small dent in rear passanger quarter panel

    ENGINE & EXHAUST
    Underdrive pulley
Cooling fan over ride switch (for when I sit in the HOT California Traffic)
    Engine kill switch
    Cold air intake
2.5" exhaust with hi-flow performance CAT and custom muffler with dual tip
    60degreeV6 custom performance computer chip
    Port & Polish
Accel 8081 Alternator (to handel the extra power used by the stereo)
    Possible custom Turbo kit installed

    INTERIOR
    Shorten shifter by 1"
    Round Shifter Bezzel
    New Carpet
    Leather Interior

To be honest, I have never fallen in love with a car like this one. I just adore it. I don't think I'll ever by a different car than a 2nd Gen Cavalier anymore. Hope you enjoyed meeting me and getting a peek at my car.
