After 3 years of darkness, it finally sees daylight......
so was that tranny painted or did you have an exxon valdez kind of leak?
Withg 200K+ miles of dirt, grime, engine oil leaks, leaky CV joints, etc, it tends to build up. Sucks to work on, though. I have hot-tanked the fresh tranny going in so it is much more enjoyable to work on.

Update! I fired the engine for the first time today. With only half of the exhaust installed, it was a bit noisey. Overall it ran nice and smooth after i got the fuel maps close enough to break the cam in. Next step is finishing up the rest of the car to get it drivable. Once it is on the road I have lots of work to tune the engine and get it ready to race and for some dyno runs.

Thanks Mars. I wish is was RWD....would be a whole different animal. All three of the lower motor/trans mounts to the cradle are solid, and the cradle mounts to the chassis are also now solid, so that upper dogbone mount is almost not needed. The stock dogbone mounts in about the same location on the other side, so I shouldn't have any problems. I considered running some diagonal supports back to the strut towers, but they are not legal in my class.
