  • After 3 years of darkness, it finally sees daylight......

That's right...my X-11 was lowered down off the jackstands, and rolled out of the garage, into the daylight on Saturday, for the first time in 3 years. I still have some work to do to put the remaining body pieces back together, and get the engine ready to fire. Sometime next month, the hybrid will be alive and prowling the streets in search of unsuspecting victims. I can't wait to get it to the autocross track

Hey..shut it! It is coming....just be patient. The brackets are done, just need to finish the plumbing. But first I need to get it running NA so I can break in the engine, and get the chassis sorted out. It won't be long.

Right now a stock X-11 4-spd Muncie with a homemade Phantom-Grip style diff. I am currently building a Fiero V6 4-spd with hybrid gears and Engineered Performance LSD.

three years... i think i'll beat that at my lazy assed rate.

looks good, under the hood at least, but then my car isn't exactly a looker right now either, so like i can talk. doesnt have to look good to be fast or fun. but it helps. except for when that momma's boy and his girlfriend pull up next to you in his eclipse and your multi-colored ego-crusher gets the best of him in front of her. hope everything works out great.

Germ, I am using a 65mm Edlebrock/BBK TB for a 5.0 Ford with an adapter plate to mate it up to the 3400 plenum.

Rebel, the suspension setup on the X-11 is pretty good, and I don't really have much, if any, rear wheel lift, so you might be out of luck for the dog peeing position pictures The super stiff X-11 front sway bar really helps keep this under control.

Doubt, the look of the car is kinda intentional....really helps the sleeper image when the car looks like it was just driven out of a junkyard. I don't really have any serious plans to fix up the body much. I have even considered painting the doors different colors....see how many different colors I can get on one car. But most likely I'll just end up paiting the hood and hatch white to match the rest of the car, install new bumper fillers, and call it good. I like the junkyard beater image....it really makes my competitors with their shiny new cars feel even worse when they lose to this POS. If it doesn't make it go faster, chances are I won't do it.

Chevy Citation, produced starting in the late 70s (78 or 79 I think) and up through around 86 I think. The X-11 was the performance version, and was actually a test platform of sorts for GM and the 60º V6.
