  • James and the Franken60

I know some of you have seen my truck and engine, but I have a made a few small changes/upgrades over the summer, and decided it was time to show it off a little.

Here is the truck after replacing a bunch of body panels, including both rockers, both quarters, both fenders, both doors (used but the bottom still need to be patched), part of the roof, and some blending.

Painted in front of my Grandfathers '71:

Battery relocated to the driver side, due to the planned engine:

    After the engine assembly:

    Some progress:

    Some more progress:

    James ready for new heart:

    Bolted into the truck:

    Intercooler:

    Crank trigger:

    And it finally LIVES!!

Close up of the live turbo (Warning watch your fingers. )

Stock clutch didn't last too long:

In this pic, I have changed the Bosch AFPR to a modified stock FPR, moved the fuel pressure gauge, re-routed the heater hoses, changed to delay wipers and a few other small details.

    Whatcha think?

For some reason I was thinking it was a pickup.. so for an off-roader thats damn fast!
Best part is you have room in the engine bay!

Very nice! I really like the new wheels...it really completes the package, without being too flashy. Are you running an air filter?

Wow, I hadn't seen pics of the truck itself since you painted it.

              Thanks for the compliments.

Marty, yeah, I have an air filter on there, if you look at the bottom left corner of the last pic, you can see the turbo inlet tube and then the rubber inlet tube, both from a Garret T-25 from a Sunbird, well on the end of that tube is a conical K&N that I had in the Skyhawk. I need to make a box for it, to keep the E-police happy and shelid it from the engine bay heat.

I hope to get the tuning done by spring and run some better times, I am hoping for a low 13, if I'm lucky high 12.
