        hey dude ... whats the diff between a 4 door car with the same engine and tranny than a 2 door ...

        exept the conveniance of the 4 door ... i can't see

        so leave or shut up ...

        Engine + Tranny = Original
        Km = 314000
        Number of 3.4 badges on the car = only one
        Sleeper = Yes

          Ok, I'll give you one more chance, and then you're gone. We've seen your distaste for the 4-door, so you don't need to keep bringing it up. I'll just give you a custom title saying "I hate 4-doors". One more time mentioning it though, and you're gone.

                geez man,get a life...
                you know,some of us (ie ME),have a family and for practical side,,i prefer 4 doors..i know...that 2 doors a generally better looking,but i did want a 3.4 and i was in love with z34 but 4 doors was more practical,so i get a cutlass 4 doors..i have all i wanted..so im happy...
                everyone is own shoes!
                you wont be faster cause you have only 2 doors...and i dont personaly hate 4 doors design.anyways..this is going nowhere...

                  Manny: Nice car! What kind of mods are you running?

                  Anybody tell me what the biggest rims and tires you can run on a stock lumina without rubbing?

                  I just got some numbers to back up my claims that my car is gutless! 0-60mph=9.3, 1/4 mi.=16.8 @ 85mph.

                  I think stock is somthing like 9.9 0-60 and 17.4 in the quarter. My exhaust and intake helped, but not much.

                  BTW, I like 4drs because I can actually get into the car inside my small garage without having to worry about mashing the door against the wall. Besides, the difference in weight is negligible. To each his own.

                      Don't have any performance mods yet, just appearance (well, I have a PCV oil catch can, but I don't think that qualifies) Though as you can see, I painted my cam inspection covers, my strut tower braces, my airbox, my dogbone mount, etc. I have a pod pillar with vacuum, and air/fuel ratio gauges, pilot fog lights, racing seat covers, pioneer head unit.

                      I can't tell you why I don't have any performance mods, lazy, or just plain chicken.. I do want a billet dogbone. But as far as ben's chip, I started to order one, but I'm not sure if I want to go that far, I'd have no idea where to make my redline.

                      I haven't gotten a K&N because I heard that they reduce our low end torque (not that we have any...)

                      I still have the original one-piece 92 intake - I haven't done the swap to the larger 96 intake because again, less low end torque. I know people say Euro's aren't fast, but then I must not know what fast really is, cause my butt-dyno, says my four door family sedan buckles asphalt.

                      I haven't done the 13 degree retard cause I was told your idle is not as smooth afterwards. (okay, I admit it, I'm lame. )

                      I've spent a lot of time restoring this car to what is in the picture, I got it from an auto auction, and the previous owner had beat on it pretty badly (front end damage, needed both front fenders, the bumper cover and the bumper reinforcement, where the bumper anchors to the frame was bent, and the inside went from mud black to light gray after about 12 scrubbings...)

                          I hadn't heard that about K&N before. I certainly didn't notice a drop in low end torque. In fact to me it felt like power increased from idle to WOT. Maybe i'm wrong, but since K&N doesn't change the intake in any way, I don't know why it would affect the power curve.

                            It won't. How more air=less low end is ludicrous. What they should be saying is that it will make more of a difference on the top side of the RPMs, cuz your motor is sucking in more air.

                              Good. Then I'll be ordering mine from Murray's, next paycheck.

                              Hey Ben! Got your ears on? Do you have any chips left for a 92 3.4L?

                              Edit: Sorry guys. Didn't mean to hijack the thread.

                                Here's a link to an auction for a K&N intake kit for a lumina on Ebay.

                                My brother ordered a kit for his Cadillac from these guys. He seems happy with it, except for the fact that they don't include a support bracket. It seems to work without a bracket, but you have to get the clamps tight.

                                Just thought someone might be interested.
