You could sure use the El Camino right now!
Drive the Grand Prix back, swap in the 3500 that is for the MGB and drive it back to FL .... but don't leave without telling Asshole thanks for the engine.

Lol, he said something about a 3.1 and I said he should swap one in and send a video of it to Josh. I would hate to see how much the El Camino would run them in gas o.O

Probably the best news for now, I got that strut nut off the drivers side assembly. Also got the passengers side apart as well. I do need to buy some new upper spring perches, though. I guess it's time to use my own rock auto code to get those and some new sub frame bolts. I had one of those get messed up on the 91 and have never been able to get that one back out since, so I'm going to assume those are possibly TTY bolts.

Not much of an update. Dale got me some clear, hardener and recycled paint thinner for me so now I can paint the engine bay after taping and papering the car. I also got some Eastwood extreme chassis black a few weeks ago to spray the subframe and suspension parts with. I haven't touched the car lately thanks to attempts by someone to get in my house... If the sound of a slide dropping a .45 cal bullet into the chamber doesn't scare them off they most likely won't leave my house alive. In the last couple weeks an 8 yo got got shot and died from home invaders, and an old woman got beaten. I won't be a victim in my own home...

I can't stand a thief.....they are as bad as child molesters.

Do you use hollow points? They are best for home defense. They tend to stop the target near instantly where regular metal jacket rounds go in/go out and leave the target standing for a few moments before bleeding out. Dangerous cause they can retaliate just before dying. And the HP's don't exit the target intact putting others at risk by going through walls or hiding behind the target.

And if they come with friends, seeing the back half of their buddy exploding out is enough to stun. Double tap in the chest and it's all over for them.

Security officers, cops use hollow points for that very reason. They are great at stopping a 7 foot meat tank thug on PCP.

Hope that shit stops. Good luck with that.

No, I haven't found hollow points lately. I guess at $30 for 50 rounds I should try to track some down. A .45 doesn't travel far either way. I was shopping for a 9mm when I bought it but the price was nice, it's a nice gun and since we lived in a mobile home community at the time I didn't want a bullet going very far like, say a .22. Ben has shot it. It kicks for a hand gun, but then again it is a large caliber. It only holds 7 rounds unless you keep one chambered. I keep it loaded but I do not keep one in the chamber. It's a decocker model and has no safety. One slip and it falls and lands on the hammer just right...

0.45's are nice caliber and adding HP rounds will increase the stopping power drastically while adding some safety from stray rounds. Not that regular rounds won't work, lol.

I would like to show off my piece but I have a policy about that as I have a stalker which is good at using information against me. I am going to get my concealed permit shortly, the officer said he can push it through due to the situation I face.

On a good note, I know 3 of the officers pretty well and one of them is my wifes cousin. Last time the prick was hunting around he got an ass whooping after he lunged at the responding officer. So if I ever have to put him down in self defense, I have a strong case in my favor and he knows it.

I know how that feels, your home security threatened. I don't let it get to me but it is always in the back of my mind. When weird things happen it becomes a possibility......

That's insane. That and what I previously posted is why I won't have much mercy for any intruders in my house.

Some of the best news I've had in a while, the "neighbors" behind us got evicted at the beginning of the week and had to be out by Friday. Crazy enough even though I don't believe they were the ones trying to get into the house, I do feel safer.

Even though, I'm still going to buy some 1/4" plexi and put over the windows of the garage on the inside, that way if someone tries to enter through the garage and takes out one of those thin single pane crappy windows, they won't be able to get in. I'm going to secure the plexi with either a 3 or 4" screw and washer (the washer for force distribution to avoid cracking the plexi).

Now I can start back at working on the car before work slows down too much.

With plexi-glass on the inside, leave the real glass on the outside. This way if they break a window it will blow back into their faces.

Good thing to hear, 5-6 foot walking, talking roaches are nasty.

Be careful though, pricks like that tend to have good bye gifts. Keep alert during the last day they live there. Record any confrontation in case you need to set someone down, in defense of course.

I'm sure you know this but....never pull your weapon unless you are gonna use it.

Oh yeah, i know. Yesterday was the last day and I've not let my guard down.

And yes, that's exactly how I was going to do the plexi.

And they came back Saturday while we were bringing my friends' daughters 98 Civic back from the dead that she ran low on oil (seized the cam in the head shearing the key that is part of the cam pulley right off, rebuilt a different head and installed it and it's running now). Neighbor called the owners of the house when they showed up, and she called the cops. I've never seen a County Brownie show up so fast before (heard his sirens coming down US33). I texted him and asked him if they told the cops there was donuts in the house, lol.
